Seventh Presidential Candidate Files for Kansas GOP Caucus

Alan Keyes becomes 7th candidate to participate in KS Caucus

Topeka, KS—Today, Alan Keyes became the seventh candidate to file for the Kansas GOP Presidential Caucus. Keyes’ campaign filed the official paperwork and paid the filing fee this morning.

Kansas Republican Party Chairman Kris Kobach stated, “After the results last night in New Hampshire, the Republican nomination remains wide open. I’m delighted to see another campaign that has decided to devote its resources and attention to the Kansas Republican Caucus.”

“Today at 5:00 PM, CST is the deadline for candidate’s to file for the Kansas caucus. We nearly have a full field of candidates filing.”

To date, these candidates will appear on the Kansas GOP caucus ballot:

Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Alan Keyes, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson.

The KS GOP Caucus will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008. In order to participate in the caucus, participants must be registered as a Republican by January 25, 2008 and must provide a photo ID at the caucus location. For more information about the caucus visit www.ksgopcaucus.org.
