>Economic Development Executive to Keynote Chamber Breakfast

Steve Jenkins, senior vice president of economic development for the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce/GO Topeka, will keynote the next Small Business Networking Breakfast co-sponsored by the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce/GO Topeka, the Topeka/Shawnee County Purchasing Roundtable, and the Washburn KSBDC. The event, open to all small business owners, will be March 5, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the Topeka Ramada. The cost is $15 and will include continental breakfast.

Jenkins joined the Greater Topeka Chamber/GO Topeka staff in January 2008 after serving as vice president of business development for the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Certified Economic Developer with more than 30 years of experience, Jenkins will provide leadership for GO Topeka and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise staff members while focusing on marketing Topeka and Shawnee County throughout the nation to site consultants and companies considering locating in the Midwest.

Time is slotted before and after breakfast for networking with other business owners and purchasing officers from other businesses, corporations, prime contractors, educational institutions, and city, county, state and federal agencies.
