TOPEKA-SHAWNEE COUNTY RIVERFRONT AUTHORITY NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
On behalf of the Topeka-Shawnee County Riverfront Authority, you or your representative are invited to attend a series of public meetings as part of the Riverfront Master Planning effort.
Background:
In 2006, the Kansas Legislature approved formation of the Topeka-Shawnee County Riverfront Authority to study and recommend improvements to the Kansas River and adjacent areas, primarily through the metropolitan areas. The Riverfront Authority is funding a master plan – focused initially on the downtown area of the river, but also including the extent of the proposed riverfront from Urish Road to east of the City limits.
Public Design Charette:
A public meeting, or design charette, for all interested participants will begin with a presentation of the preliminary analysis on the evening of Wednesday, March 12th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Then on Thursday the 13th of March additional breakout meetings will be held from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Both meetings will be held in the first floor conference room of the Cyrus K. Holiday Building located at 620 E. Madison.
