Business Expo Showcases Local Products And Services

The Annual Business Expo sponsored by the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce will be open to the public Wednesday, October 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ramada, 420 SE 6th Street.

Former Nebraska football player Aaron Davis will provide motivational remarks at the opening luncheon Wednesday at 12 noon. There will also be a Networking Social for Chamber members and their guests from 4-5 p.m. to conclude the event.

“A large part of economic development in our community will come from within our existing companies,” Doug Kinsinger, Chamber president & CEO, says. “Chamber member firms are strongly encouraged to buy products and services form other chamber members. The Business Expo is one means of facilitating this growth,” Kinsinger says.

Over 70 Topeka area businesses will exhibit their business products and services during the event. There will also be a “breakout” session on “Exporting 101” offered by a representative of the US Department of Commerce from 1:15-2:15 p.m. in Fountain Room 4 off the Atrium. The event is free and open to the public.
