Store collecting holiday gifts for troops
Local CD Tradepost stores are thanking US troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan this holiday season. During November, the company is conducting a “THANK THE TROOPS FOR GIVING” promotion which will collect CDs, DVDs, and video games from their stores to send to the troops.
“We are extremely excited about this project,” Dennis Strobel, the company’s President shared. “Recognizing the hard work and sacrifice of our military men and women is the right thing to do and something we know our customers and employees are eager to support.”
For each product a customer buys at CD Tradepost and donates to send to the troops, the company will match the gift with a second comparable product. Those items are being collected through November and will be sent to reach the troops by December 25th.”
“Sending the soldier a movie, music cd, or video game is great – and they will love them. But even more importantly, it gives us all a chance to personally thank them for their work. We are providing thank you cards to our customers who participate in this program to include a handwritten “thank you” to the recipient.”
Customers wishing to participate in this program should visit their local CD Tradepost store during November. CD Tradepost operates 24 stores in 5 states and features video games, movies, and music CDs.
“At a time of year when we are giving thanks for our many blessings, we should be mindful of those over 100,000 soldiers who will be away from their families this holiday because they are courageously serving their country.
