Broken Road
Where will the Broken Road Lead?

The first season of Broken Road, a local teen drama series that has garnered Hollywood attention, aired on KTKA 49 and is currently watched worldwide over the Internet. The series is about the lives of Sophie and Chloe, two sisters forced to move from their home in Hawaii to a small Kansas town. Bracing themselves for the “simple life,” the sisters quickly learn from the teens that befriend them that life in their world isn’t so simple after all.
While most teen dramas are produced on the coasts, feature characters with lifestyles completely unlike those of heartland teens, and are penned by adults, Broken Road is distinguished by featuring plotlines and characters that teens in Middle America can relate to and is actually written by Courtney Haigh, a Topeka High School student. All of the scenes to-date have been shot at Topeka locales, including Topeka High School, Highland Park High School, and Bobos Drive-In.
The series is the brainchild of Haigh, who acted in a children’s television series while living in Hawaii. Her mother, Michelle Fridley, is the owner of T3V Productions and produced the first episodes. Former child star Cory Feldman has signed on to executive produce four episodes of the next season.
